Brilliant.

I’ve posted about The Love Language a lot over the last few months, and this is a reason why. I love it stripped like this!

The August Mixtape

As you can tell, I haven’t been posting much lately. A lot has been going on in my “real” life that has taken my attention away from posting or sitting down to write much of substance. That will be changing come September, but for now, its all good. Anyway, here’s the August mixtape along with the new feature to the mixtape, the monthly live highlight which could be a radio session or standard live track, in this month’s case, its from a very recent radio session that has not been posted here before…

Rose Elinor Dougall live on the radio in 2009

With the release of Rose’s debut album, “Without Why”, just two short weeks away, I thought it’d be good to re-visit these performances from over a year ago now that were broadcast initially on the BBC in July 2009. There are two separate sessions, with performances of songs that eventually made her record which again, hits soon. The ex-Pipette is set to release a great indie-pop gem with the debut.

Pretty good stuff, needless to say. Give it a listen! Just click the picture.

Undoubtedly, Rose will be doing some tour dates in the UK in support of the album. Check her out.

More new Black Angels

The band released another track off of Phosphene Dream via Spin Magazine. It’s called “Telephone”, and its got a great ’60s vibe. Sounds straight out of 1966!

The Black Angels – Telephone

Phosphene Dream hits on September 14th (September 13 in the UK). The band are also touring with Black Mountain this fall after an appearance at ATP in NY on September 3rd.
